the experience: A fantastic and unique course that allows participants to experience the full deer-stalking journey—without shooting live quarry. The day begins with breakfast and coffee while instructors brief you on the schedule and objectives for the day ahead. The course includes live rifle training, starting with a .22 calibre rifle and progressing to a centrefire rifle under expert instruction. You will then be taken on a realistic simulated deer stalk, putting your training into practice by firing at life-size deer targets at varying distances. A wood-fired lunch follows, prepared using fresh local venison, before the afternoon continues with a hands-on butchery tutorial. Each participant will take venison home at the end of the day. This immersive experience provides a practical understanding of deer-stalking principles, venison preparation, and cooking—offering a true field-to-fork journey.
